Splash housings are designed to protect cameras in rainy, wet, sandy, or dusty conditions. They are perfect for use near water or where water is splashing, such as in a boat, by a swimming pool, or near a water related sporting event. We recommend that you NEVER submerge these or risk total loss of the camera inside regardless of what you may read or hear. If you doubt any of this, Google "EWA Marine flooding". All of these flimsy plastic units will eventually develop a small pinhole somewhere or a grain of sand can get stuck in the seal. If the system is completely submerged, you can have A LEAK! If there is no added WATER PRESSURE, a pin hole or a grain of sand present no real water threat to the camera.
